Welcome to Casepath ("we," "us," or "our"). Casepath is an AI-powered career acceleration and interview preparation application designed to help individuals practice behavioral interviews, test cognitive skills, and discover tailored career opportunities.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("Application" or "App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Application, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products, or otherwise use the App.

A. Personal Information Provided by You

  • Account Credentials: Email address, first name, and last name.
  • Onboarding & Career Preferences: Target career goals (e.g., job interviews, internships, career path), degree/education level, academic major, target field, work experience seniority level, and target geographic locations.
  • Uploaded Documents: Resume/CV files (PDF, DOCX, or TXT format) that you upload for AI resume scanning and job matching.
  • Practice Session Data: Text responses and audio/voice dictation inputs provided during STAR behavioral interview simulations and cognitive skill games.

B. Information Collected Automatically via Social Logins

  • Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In: If you choose to log in using Apple or Google OAuth authentication, we receive your name and verified email address as permitted by your privacy settings with Apple or Google.

C. Technical & Device Information

  • Device metadata (e.g., operating system version, device model), IP address, app usage metrics, and error logs necessary to ensure app stability and performance.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for legitimate business and operational purposes, including:

  1. Providing Core Features: Personalizing your app dashboard, tailoring interview prep scenarios, and matching your profile with relevant roles and portfolio projects.
  2. AI Resume & Interview Coaching: Processing your uploaded CV and interview practice responses using artificial intelligence tools to generate ATS match scores, diagnostic feedback, and benchmark model answers.
  3. Account Management: Creating and maintaining your user account, verifying your identity, and sending essential account communications.
  4. App Improvement & Analytics: Monitoring usage trends, identifying software bugs, and enhancing user experience.
  5. Security & Fraud Prevention: Protecting our users, system infrastructure, and enforcing our Terms of Service.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We may share your information only under the following circumstances:

  • Third-Party Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting providers, authentication services (Apple OAuth, Google OAuth), and AI API processing providers. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or government regulation, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

The Application integrates third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

  • Apple Sign-In (Apple Privacy Policy)
  • Google Sign-In (Google Privacy Policy)
  • AI Processing APIs (Used solely to process resume text and interview responses to return real-time feedback; your data is not used to train public third-party AI models without consent).

Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or misuse. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or data storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will promptly delete that information.
